Overclocking The BIOS

He told me that every component in a computer can be overclocked, except for the power supply unit because it doesn't have a disk.

Can someone confirm this please?

No he's wrong again. He's really on a roll today.

You can overclock:

CPU

RAM

Video Card

and when overclocking both the CPU and RAM you've then overclocked your overall system front side bus speed.

Those are the only things you can overclock.

He must of got his tech status out of a cracker jack box
lol pretty much

EDIT: Whatever knowledge you've gained from this guy I suggest you erase it from your memory permanently

Sorry about these questions (I am trying to learn as much as I can).

Isn't there something called the West Bridge and South Bridge? I remember him mentioning these a while back. I can't remember what the conversation was about... But he told me to raise the voltage on one of them when raising the F.S.B.

The reason I ask is because I have done everything he told me to do and my system seems to be ok.

There is a north bridge and a south bridge. Once again, I've never heard of increasing voltage to any of the bridges for any reason.

More Voltage = More Heat = Fried Motherboard
