Overclocking ATI 9600XT 256 & graphics card for under £150

What kinds of clock speeds have people got overclocking this card and has anyone got any recommendations for fans for it?

Also, what is the best graphics card for under £150 / $285 ?

My 9600 XT is running cool 33C under full load (30 idle)and im the only overclocking im doing is the built in Overdrive feature.

if u have a look at the card the fan is way bigger than all of the other radeon cards and if u really need to overclock this if u want like 90 fps in half life 2 then ur an idiot. Just use the built in overdrive (overclock) feature. no xtra fans needed. U can get a speed of around 537 i think if i remember proeprly

Well crazy it depends on what type of speed you mean. Either chipset/Core Speed or Memmery/Effective Speed.

For 537mhz im positive your talking about chipset.core speed.

Thanks for the help people, the overdrive feature makes a good improvement.

Default speeds are 500/300. I'm now overclocking it to 550/350
Core/Memory.
Although the tempurature never goes over 49C i can't push it anymore...any one know why??

Have now managed 555/370... but this is now tops. Maybe this is all it can manage?

ok, sorted now anyway 550/365 running at a comfortable 55C
Just need an artic fan for it now
