http://www.sysopt.com/articles/VCOGuide/
they explain it nicely
But a other thing they do not say that you can do is up your agp. Say most video cards when you plug em in run at 4x if their rated for 8x then just go into the bios and up it to 8x save settings and boom you know have a 8x card

If you are going to overclock it alot, you may want to think about how adequate the VGA cooling/fan system is and you may want to add ramsinks.

Like Bleep said, in order to speed it up more than a little, you need to cool it down too. the ramsinks are almost a necessity if you increase your memory speed a lot.

RADCLOCKER is a nice and easy application to overclock your Radeon.

do a google search and you'll find it easily enough.

If you read some reviews such as the one found on ANANDTECH, you'll see that these cards can easily be overclocked without the extra cooling to a certain limit, but overclocking does reduce the life of your card drastically if you don't cool it down.
