I recently purchased a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe mainboard, and I was thinking about overclocking my system.

I never tried to do it before, so it would be nice with some advice.

My system:

CPU: AMD XP 2100+ @ 1773 MHz (standard cooler)
Mainboard: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe rev. 1.06
RAM: Can't remember the brand but: 512 MB DDR-SDRAM PC2700 333MHz
PSU: Thermal Take 300W
GFX: Point-Of-View GeForece4 Ti4200 128 MB DDR-RAM
HDD: 1 x IBM 45 GB + 1 x WD 120 GB

First thing:
What do I need to do? (Just raise the multiplier in the BIOS?)

Should I buy a better cooler for my CPU, or is the standard one efficient, if I only overclock it a little ?

I would really appreciate any good advice :)

Ok, thx alot for the quick answer :)

I'll start reading.

Yeah, I knew about the temperatures, just wanted to be sure how high I could go with the standard cooler :)

My RAM isn't really quality RAM, but I'm gonna buy some good ones soon.

Thx again :)
