Triple CORE Phenom 8450 ?

what would i need to use for overclocking this kind of thing like cooling

i have this case as it has mesh and a nice 240mm fan

Gamer / Server PC Case with 250mm Fan > Maplin

and can someone allso tell me what GHz this CPU is at? i got told at the shop it was like 3GHz but i dont think it is :[ having a 2.1GHz is useless to me :[

You'll need to replace the stock heatsink for a good cpu cooler like the Sunbeam Core Contact. Yes, they operate at 2.1Ghz, and you'll be lucky if you can reach 3.0Ghz depending on what motherboard you have.

I'd say you'd be stuck at around 2.5-2.7ghz, because the Phenom's don't clock that well

And what do you mean by "having a 2.1GHz is useless to me".. that thing is easily faster than a 4000+ X2 because Phenom is faster than the AMD Atlhon clock per clock..

Comparing cpu speeds between product lines is about as useless as drinking Decaf Coffee.

Because unless you are super pro on an extremely uber level or just picky, you can't notice the difference in Windows.. unless you're gaming, that's a different story
