Default overclockin my 6600gt

ok im gonna overclock my 6600gt its got samsung 900mhz memory, sounds good right lol well whats the highest the 900mhz models have been gotten to with stock cooling?

ive got mine right now at 1.17GHz and my memor at 450mhz or something like that. You dont have 900mhz memory speed in that card sorry

stock core on the 6600GT is 500 in 3d mode 300 in 2d mode (Windows not playing games) The card drops speed when not playing games to conserve power and lower heat. Stock memory is 1000, 900 on the older ones.

You have your words in the wrong places. You have your memory at 1.17ghz and your core speed is 450mhz.

That should help clear things up...

Core: 550
Memory: 1000
(around 10%)

Got mine to 1.18GHz.

Their are two different clockspeeds on the Nvidia refrence for the 6600GT

The PCI-E model features a Core Speed of 500, and a Memory speed of 1000. The memory is 1.6NS samsung ram.

The AGP featuers a core speed of 500, and a memory speed of 900. The refrence ram is 2.0NS samsung ram to downset the cost of the AGP to PCI-E chip.


However, most manafactuers have now started to use faster memory
