My specs are Athlon XP 1600+ w/ Ti4200 64MB and some cheap PC3200.

When I first got this computer I overclocked it from 1.4GHz to 1.63GHz (FSB 133Mhz --> 155MHz)
Increased voltage a bit and everything worked fine, very stable.
A few months ago I was getting stability issues and lowered it to 1.60GHz. Everything worked fine. A few weeks ago I started getting BSoD all the time and had to lower it to 1.585GHz. Is my CPU dying? My temps are 47-49 idle. Is this too high for a Palomino?

Same is happening to my graphics card. I overclocked it 250/513 to 268/552. Worked fine and very stable. But today I was starting to get artifacts. I had to lower it.

Seems like my components are all gonna die :(

Well probably from being 4yrs old and being oced might be doing that to it.

I don't think the previous owner overclocked it. All I know is that it was running at stock speeds when I bought it. It has only been overclocked for the time I own it.

whats artifacts? are they little yellow spots on the screen cuase i see them when i oc my video card and play bf2 :eek:

most likely they are artifacts, artifacts are anything thats not supposed to be there being there when you oc the card (black lines, spots, ect.) you know a artifact when you see one
