Hello everyone, I'm looking for feedback on "fine-tuning" an overclock and possible increase for 24/7 use. My system as follows:
cpu: i7 920 D0
mobo: EVGA E758-A1
memory: OCZ Platinum 6GB (1600)
psu: corsair 850hx
gpu: xfx hd 5870
cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems
Last stable OC as of 1/5/12 @ 3.66
Frequency Control;
CPU Multiplier ( 20X )
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) ( 183 ) [3850Mhz (183x21)]
MCH Strap ( Auto )
CPU Uncore Frequency (Mhz) [2933 (16X )]
CPU Clock Skew ( 0 ps )
Spread Spectrum ( Disabled )
PCIE Frequency (Mhz) ( 100 )
Memory Feature;
Memory Speed ( Standard )
Memory Control Setting ( Enabled )
Memory Frequency ( 1067MHz / 2:8 )
Channel Interleave Setting ( 6 Way )
Rank Interleave Setting ( 4 Way )
Memory Low Gap ( Auto )
tCL Setting ( 7 )
tRCD Setting ( 7 )
tRP Setting (7 )
tRAS Setting (Auto-24 )
tRFC Setting ( 77 )
Command Rate ( 1t )
Voltage Control;
EVGA VDroop Control ( With VDroop )
CPU VCore ( 1.34375v )
CPU VTT Voltage ( +150 )
CPU PLL VCore ( Auto )
DIMM Voltage ( 1.650 )
QPI PLL VCore ( Auto )
IOH VCore ( 1.4 )
PWM Frequency ( 800KHz )

At 3.4 my temps were around 60 during 14hrs of Prime. At my current pace of 3.6 my temps maxed at 68 after 12 hours of Prime; however, the room was rather muggy and I was too lazy to put the ceiling fan, stand-alone fan, or AC on lol. Prior to discontinuing Prime I added some air circulation and temps reduced to 65 (was still fairly muggy). I have yet to see any errors or BSODs. Are there any settings I should adjust for better performance? What adjustments could I make to hit 3.8-4.0 without overstressing the cpu and temps? *Update: Last night I bumped up host frequency to 193, Vcore .05v (now at 1.39375) , VTT +50 (now at 200mv), and QPI PLL at 1.125. This clocked me at 3.8, but raised temps to about 72-74 after just 1hr in Prime (no errors or BSODs) and worried about future temps scaling during summer.
Thank you for assistance!
