option in the bios to overclock by 5% and the ram latency shows 2.5-3-3-8

I have an Asus p4c800 deluxe with a p4 3.0 and 1 gig of corsiair 3200 xms. The corsair ram when I bought said the latency is
2-3-3-6-ct, I used the option in the bios to overclock by 5% and the ram latency shows 2.5-3-3-8, I was wondering if you use this option in the bios to overclock does it automaticly change the latency of the ram to match the increase of the cpu and fsb speed.

I have never seen a latency adjust itself to match the best settings for the CPU/FSB external clock and/or voltage.
