OMG why is my pc runing slow, horrible fps?!

I really dont know why my pc is sucking this bad. its not that bad of a system lol. I get about 20fps now on CSS which is BS. I used to get a lot more.
I use avast pro antivurs, i have re formated, all drivers are up to date, what is the problem!!! here is my hardware:
KN8 SLI socket 939
amd 64bit 3200+
2gb ram
x1600 pro 512mb
160gb HD
You guys think i should reformat? im kinda scare to do it cuz when i first built my PC, u couldnt get a picture on the screen. Got charged 100$ for the PC place to download a fckin driver -.-

Do you know the temperatures of your computer? Download Everest Home Edition and tell me the temperatures of your computer.

i have speedfan, this is what it says:
temp 1>35c
temp2>39c
temp3>42c
HD0:31c
temp1>36c
core>41c add about 3 to those when i play games

Speedfan gives inaccurate temperatures. Download Everest Home Edition.

hey, i opened the side of my case and the core temp dropped 6c lol. downloading everest now. ill giv eu those readings in a sec.

Go to Computer and you'll see Sensor in the drop down. Click the Sensor and tell me the temperatures. Is your computer dusty? Do you have an intake and exhaust fan?
