Default Older CPU, what temp monitor do you trust?

So I decided to pull the E2140 from my Dell and slap it in a MB that could overclock to give it a little workout.
Currently at 2GHz / 1.23v, but it needs a voltage bump to get stable.

Problem is, I'm not sure what temp is accurate.
Sitting idle right now (+20c @ load) and getting:
HWMonitor - 52c
RealTemp - 42c
CoreTemp - 37c

I have been trusting HWMonitor for my E8400 and Q6600, but getting 72c with these voltages just seems a little crazy to me, even the Q6600 @ 1.3v on the same cooler didn't get this hot.

I use Coretemp over anything else.

76 celsius? Yeah either you didn't put heat gel on the processor or your read out is wrong XD

Its really strange cause on the other rig HWMonitor and RealTemp show the same values.
Q6600, Asus P5K-E, Win7 Ultimate; maybe its just a hardware/software thing with the E2140 and Gigabyte G31.

*Edit
Sitting in BIOS from a cold boot, BIOS temp is reading CPU temp 46c
I would trust CoreTemp, if I wasn't so worried about cooking this chip.

Just to be sure, check the bios manufacturer notes and see if they noted anything about the motherboard not keeping record of temps and other specs.
Look for a patch if they might have a fix for it.

I've just essentially ignored the problem.
I finally got it stable @ 2GHz, but this #*^@!$` board doesn't like overclocking so I'm pretty much stuck there.
Hitting the same temps with IntelBurn Test (72c on HWM, 57c on CT), and the CPU will never get that stressed real-world, so whatev.
