What exactly is overclocking? what's it's purpose/benefits?

how hard is it to do if ti's worth it thanks

Overclocking is taking any hardware peice and basically raising the speeds of the device. Obviously any benefit from pushing something faster would be the speed you gain from it. Video card, cpus, ram... all of that can be pushed harder and will give your system a little jump depending on how far you overclock and you system specs to begin with. With your computer I wouldn't even try overclocking, but each to their own.. good luck

overclocking can mean that speed up your hardwares faster than the default settings.
Some hardwares can really be faster after overclocking but it got its own risk too cosz will make the system not stable, worst can spoil your hardwares. Moreover u will lost your warranty is overclocking.

Loose a warrenty from overclocking? Where'd or who did you hear that from because uhm.. if anything of mine breaks I'll tell you right night that there IS a warrenty =)
