Re: Super Pi 1M Rankings

C3, I tried 4.5 at 200 and 20, then 214 and 19, both crashed after running Linx for like 10 seconds (want to get a higher score for Linx :p). I'm wondering if my Core Contact can't keep it cool enough to run at 4 :(.

Re: Super Pi 1M Rankings

So you just straight-up tried to boot at 4.5GHz?
Yeah, that's not going to work without some very low temperatures and enough volts.
*edit* I think you mean 4.0 (200 x 20)

What I did is just set my NB, HTT, RAM speed/timings and volts in BIOS, and change the CPU multipliers once booted.
Also, I'm using water cooling.

But if it's a C3 stepping chip, 4GHz should definitely be possible on air with ~1.5-1.55V ( as long as it's a decent air cooler), or ~4.2-4.3 with tweaking.

I'm going to do a prime run at my current clock to see what temps I get (when Linx is running everything else pretty much goes at a halt so I can't see current temp readings).
