Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

I haven't even tried using my PC in the air-conditioned room either.
Might help to do that, since it's now summer here.

My 940 needed about 1.5-1.55V to be stable at 3.8 24/7. C3 965's can usually get there at stock volts.
Maybe I'll get 4GHZ stable 24/7

Well, if the scale is anything to go by, you should.

EDIT: So you guys have an idea of how much I've been working on this, I've memorized all the BSODs that I've seen from the sheer amounts...

0xC5, 0x50, 0x0A, 0x124, 0x7E, 0xD1

I'm sick of blue! :p

I think the Phenom II's generally might do better in superpi with fewer cores
it means you can't get held back by weaker cores, and it means more L3 cache per core

Mind you, C3 stepping chips are only available in quad so far.....

Very nice Hikari! Now I'm getting in the mood to try OC'ing again... finally in a new place with better A/C!

I don't think so, really. Sure there are stronger cores than others, but there's not that much of a difference. If I unlocked the fourth core, your statement would hold some water, but I didn't. Each core performs roughly the same in PI when I'm overclocking; I test each one.
