So that just mean's you'll just need to keep your Core i7 920 @ 4.2ghz and OC the HD 4890's to compensate the difference?

Sadly the motherboard is more of the factor in overclocking than the chip is. I have had mine as high as 4.5 but it was in no way stable.

When I had the Phase hooked up I was 100% stable at 4.6GHz, above that up to around 4.8GHz it was somewhat stable with the occasional BSOD. Once I got beyond that it was a race to capture a screenshot.

For a High OC try adjusting your pci-e bus from 106-110 for stability.

And you may need to loosen your memory speeds/timings. Just because your memory is DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 and it runs at those speeds at 4.2GHz, that doesn't mean it will still run at those speeds once you get up to 4.4GHz. I didn't buy DDR3 2000 to run at 2000MHz, I bought it so I could still run at DDR3 1600 or higher while overclocking

I don't know why I waited so long to do this.. My score was alsot he same with stock clock settings and the 3.6 clock I'm at now.. Clocking the card a hair more made a difference though. This is the best it will do for now.. A clock further with the card clock and it clipped.

All I could get was the link to the online score sheet..

Ran on a cold start... Gt 16113, but I wish it wouldn't auto update my score.. I'd like to keep my best at 16309. or whatever it was..

What does this do that makes it more stable? I'm curious .
