*The Official Tech-Forums 3DMark06/03 Rankings*

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List

**** man.. nice score ;) but i think you can hit way higher then that. I've seen 16k done with a single 8800gts, so you should be able to get a bit more out of it. I'm thinking somewhere in the high 19k range, maybe 20k if you can get a quick 4.0ghz run in before it dies.

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List

yea I'm gonna try for 19.5k which will break my 9800gx2 score but I think im gonna need a new cpu that can go higher.. maybe a qx9750 I believe... who knows i think i hurt my board on my last 3.920 run... now I BSOD with only 3.6 running which I always ran at.... now I have an excuse to buy the 780i FTW lol

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List

The rampage formula is en route to my house as we speak. I should try getting some single card benches just for giggles. See what the 4870 is capable of.

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List

I have been hearing nothing but amazing things of the rampage formula! with a single 4870 you should be able to get some high scores on vantage and 3dmark06. Are you going to be running the q6600?

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List

I'll be running crossfire 4870s and my q6600. The watercooling loop has done amazing things for my cpu temps. Running at 3.8ghz (before the board bricked) idle temps are only 40C, compared to the 50ish i had with my TRUE.

New build 3dmark06 score

I was just wondering if this is a normal score. Everything is stock, not OC'd.

Intel Quad Core Q9450 2.66 Ghz 12mb L2 cache
ATI 4850
DFI Lanparty P35
Mushkin 2gb PC2 6400 ram

Score was 10860.

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List

umm isnt the 4850 better than my gts? if so then that score doesnt seem right
