At 3.7ghz now same voltage...and I'm under water...that's why my temps are lowish

This is the sunbeam cooler. it's awesome, not just for the price...it's awesome period.
CPU3D.com - Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler

Also what bios are you running? Asus has pretty regular bios updates and this one was just released for the P5Q Pro http://kielbaski.com/pmp/MB/ASUS_P45...S-PRO-0901.ZIP

What sort of temps are you getting under load? Anything under like 80C is fine as long as it doesn't crash. Trust me these 65nm chips are absolutely indestructible.

just got this score with my GPU at 790/1100

dang i guess i shouldn't be concerned with getting a new cooler then...
i am getting 60* across the board all 4 loaded 100% with p95 and about 12 web pages open.
something weird happened the other day though i was running stress test and the temps just skyrocketed...i shut it down around 80* and then touched the heatsink (dumb*** lol) and it burned the **** out of my finger. haven't had any problems with it since then, and no abnormal behavior. so, i guess its fine.

how can i check my bios version and date? NVM found it in registry

actually just dl'd realtemp 2.6 and it's showing 55* across all 4 cores vs. coretemp @ 60*....
which is more accurate? i read just now that RT is better for intels

realtemp is good.

Anyway 60c is nothing to be worried about. The tCase for g0 quads is 72c....so the cores can be even hotter than that. I'd be perfectly comfortable with 80c load as long as it was stable.
