Anything that works on Vista should work on Server 08.

The only issue is antivirus. So far I have found that Symantec Corporate and Sophos both work. Personally I use sophos as I get it free from my school and it's a really good av.

As for memory usage...contrary to what most people here seem to think, it doesn't really mean anything at all...but here's mine for kicks and giggles. As you can see, everest detects it as Vista since it's basically the same os (but better ).

you installed superfetch? any guides i read on tuning vista cursed it as the antichrist for storing ram needlessly 'just in case' you open a program. what makes it useful? i've got it off but maybe i shouldn?

...ram is supposed to be used! unused ram is wasted ram.

Especially for things like superfetch, that will make the system MORE responsive, not less.
