Give me a couple of weeks ( the cold weather should already be on it's way)... I was able to bump the VCore down to stable 1.411v (1.435v with the vtt voltage), but unfortunately on the FTW3 board, it requires alot of VTT to maintain a stable medium Uncore frequency.

Have you got enough PCI-E slots to use a PhysX card?
an 8800 GT or something lying around?

Nah, sorry to say, I'll need another mobo in order to add physX. I would throw in a physX card, but that would drop my second 5970 to x8....we both know thats a no go. I've got a capable mobo picked out, but I wont be able to get it until next month along with the last of the waterblocks I need for the chipset/mosfet. I was thinking of getting a GTX 460 for PhysX, which is overkill....then again that was the whole point of this build...consumer overkill....

There will probably be up to about a 5% drop in performance of the 5970 running at PCI-E 8x
techPowerUp :: AMD Radeon HD 5870 PCI-Express Scaling Review :: Page 25 / 26

But then a PhysX card may add more than that 5% back, which could put you on top.

Got round to doing the bios update today. All that extra voltage, and all I could do was bump it up a tiny bit I think the air cooling is struggling now.
