no thats what he gets for not gettign a ftw, the not solid state caps suck balls the pop easy, and burn when a litle voltage is added.

i don't think it has anything to do with it...

the board will still turn on, but it freezes randomly upon boot

it is a common problem with more than just my 780i

its going for rma more than likely tomorrow

Just saying even with solid caps, you can push it too far and have it crap out.

bah.. i'm ready to just buy the 200 dollar msi board so i can have a computer already.... i really don't know if i can wait it out 2 weeks to have another computer.. i've already got me some hw to do

If ur talking about the X58 platinum, I don't think it supports SLI

ya.. it doesnt.. but i really need a computer that can actually RUN photoshop..

i'm on a 700mhz pentium 3 right now, that only has 2 usb ports.. which are occupied by my mouse and keyboard.. so i can't even shove a flashdrive in!

peter.. i think only the eclipse supports sli... i'm not sure of the platinum

only the MSI ECLIPSE SLI/SLI+ support SLI, x58 platinum doesn't
