Yeah I got one of those past 4.5GHz easily.

I think it's actually called the X3120.

No, there is no X3120. I think you're getting confused with the X3210 which is a 65nm Quad clocked at only 2.13GHz. B3 stepping as well ...eww

Hmm might be the X3110 then. It's the equivalent of the E8400 not the 8500. 45nm process too.

mmk, here's what I got, I would like to go higher but temps are already a worry, so later on I'll see what I can do

Processor: E5200
Stepping: 6
Revision: M0
VID: 1.25
Final Clock: 3749.99 MHz (~3.75GHz)
Final Vcore: 1.424
CPU Cooler: Asus Silent Knight AL

Power supply: Apevia Iceberg 680w
MotherBoard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Rev 1.0
RAM: OCZ SLi-Ready PC6400 2x2GB
RAM Speed: 1000MHz
Timmings: 6-6-6-18
RAM to FSB: 3:5
Final RAM Voltage: 2.1 volts

Stress testing program: Prime95
Hour of Stability: 4.5 Hours
Idle Temparture: 44
Max Load Temparture: 72
Reason for Stress Test End: Gaming

CPU-z+CoreTemp+OCCT Screenshot

CPU-z Validator CPU-Z Validator 3.0 link + screenshot

CMOS Voltages

for some reason CMOS and CPU-z give me slewed readings , I went with the CPU-z voltage

What cooler are you using? Those a really high temps for an e5200 that is under 4ghz.

Try using Real Temp, OCCT's temps were always way off for me.

I edited it in, an Asus Silent Knight, not a very good cooler at all, still deciding between the OCZ Vendetta (the 120mm version) or the Core Contact Cooler

Core Temp and OCCT both gave identical readings, but FanSpeed was telling me 76C
surely just a matter of which probes the programs are accessing

The voltage difference means you have Vdrop. Its common when you crank things up.

thanks for informing me, I never had anything capable of really overclocking till now so I hadn't experienced that before, I've seen Tom's Hardware push a stable 4.3 GHz on the TRUE with the e5200, so hopefully I can at least hit a 4.2 GHz stable when I get a new CPU cooler
