Default OCing RAM

a friend of mine said he OCed his RAM...
possible?

I'm new to overclocking, so anything I say is based on what I know so far. You can OC your ram by increasing the FSB on your mainboard chip, which also increases the ram's mhz and the processor's mhz. I got my PC2700 (333 mhz) to 354 mhz. So yea it's possible.

P.S. You can't OC the ram itself, because it has no chip.

yeah, that makes since

ok, another question then, how do i do that... OCing the i guess you could call it "frequency" or the ram and cpu. im having my friend help me with it, but i like to have the more general understanding of things...
