what should i check? i really need a noob- pro talk so i can oc this... zeroday was lucky and had his teacher teach him OCing... mine just said it was unadvisable.... :D

If you are that in the dark, then don't do it!

It is easy to fry things from OC'ing.

If you really want to OC, learn how to do it first. Read some guides, Google it, etc. Don't just take a shot in the dark unless you're prepared to replace sizzling parts. ;)

as far as oc'ing goes and like reading from a guide, the best plan of action is to print out the guide or if you have another computer around, like i do, you can keep the guide open so you don't forget something and fry your computer.

ya good idea, but im going to take this very VERY slow because i dont really NEED to oc... (i want to)... but i NEED a computer :D and it would be horrible if my cpu sizzled to pieces....

But my goal is to be very confident in OCing cpu's eventually :)

everbody started out similar to you at one point in time.. Shoot, I bet even K1ngP1n wasn't born holding a thermos of LN2. :D

I remember when i first started overclocking... my ram was so unstable. :)

As long as you leave it at stock voltage I don't think you will run into heat issues...
