OCing my 9700PRO

I have recently purchased battlefield 2142, and it occasionally lags a bit however I have all recommended specifications apart from a 256mb card (mine is 128), so I was wondering should is there a big risk in overclocking memory what is the risk and how far should I take it?

Cheers, lea0001.

judge it by feel mate, make sure you monitor your card temps so that it doesnt overheat, but then you can push it as far as it's stable. Download riva tuna and play with the mem/core speeds in that. Itt'l tell you if anything's drastically wrong, but make sure you keep an eye on those temps mate

You won't notice that much performance increase with your 9700 if you oc it,But if you want to anyway's dload atitool it has an artifact tester built in to show when you have oc'ed too far,Plus you will probably need softmod driver's to let you oc too,You can get both the softmod driver's and atitool from TechPowerUp
