How easy would it be to get a 3700+ San Diego up to 2.8Ghz or higher with water-cooling?
I've heard that with gfx cards, companies sometimes use cards that couldn't make the grade for one model and use them for another. For example a 7800 that couldn't quite achieve GTX speeds could be used as a 7800GT. If this is true does the same thing happed with CPUs? Could a 3700+ be a chip that was intended to be an FX-57 but couldn't make it to 2.8Ghz?
