AMD processors usually top out at around 3.0 ghz....and those are the good ones.

I would expect 2.8-3.1ghz depending on cooling

Right now I just have the stock HS and fan so I probably won't do anything until I upgrade that...

yeah get a nice air cooler and you should be able to hit 2.8-3.0 ghz.

an AMD at 2.8 ghz is pretty fast...i had one ...also got it to 3.03ghz later on and it was pretty snappy.

The Brisbanes are very good Overclocking chips - I can get my 4000+ to 3.0GHz on a relativley small cooler with little issue on my terrible board. I rekon that you will be able to hit 3.0+GHz on that chip once you have a half decent cooler!
