Default OC Question, P4 1.8ghz

I'm sure this is a simple question.

Trying to OC a P4 1.8ghz. In the Bios, it allows me to select the CPU speed but not adjust the bus. The highest selectable speed is 1.989ghz, which I selected and it is running very stable. I'd like to get 200 more mhz out of it. Do I need to update the Bios/Mobo drivers to allow more flexibility with processor speed?

yeah, try updating your bios, but make sure you update it with the correct bios etc and be careful when flashing bios. newer bios's give more overclocking flexibility and stuff, always have your latest bios when possible.

My P41.8AGhz Northwood now is running at 2020Mhz, no problem at all. The highest it can reach 2400Mhz. But not so stable.
