Question o/c processor

yo i have compaq computer and a problem. i want to o/c my proc. but for some dumb reson compaq edited the bios so i cant do it without flashing/upgrading it. are there any programs for windows that can overclock? i have an ASUSTek mobo with sis chipset and southbridge (dont know if those r important for overclocking but thought id put them up there anyway) and phoenix award bios vesion 3.04. plz post!

clockgen would be your best bet. You could try setfsb as well.

Be careful though, that compaq might fry lol. Get a program to monitor your temps as well.

i dunno it stays pretty cool most of the time (it says something like 30*c in the bios) but i kno to watch the temp. where do i get temp monitoring programs?

im seeing lots of stuff about having to have exactly the right version of clockgen or else u will die (aka comp will crap out) but im not sure which one i need. help plz!!!!
