Default nvidia bios upgrade

I noticed that I dont have the temperature reading function on my 6600gt. My bios version is A friend of mine has a 6600gt with the bios version of Would I get this feature if I flash the bios to a newer version? Or do I have an older card before this feature?

I have never played around with any video card in this manner. How does one update the bios? And would this be the way to get the temperature reading?
