Ya, but even the e6300 at the same price will still out perform the x2 3800+, and a MUCH better overclockability. So...i would still go with conroe

by all means, go for it...

for me it means I can get the 4600 for cheaper and hold out on a whole new build until next year some time when I see what's going on with the new cards...

yes it is, no conroe on newegg yet, but they havent updated the AMD prices either so you can't tell anymore..

if you checkout pricegrabber.com though and search for x2 4600 you'll see there are SEVERAL vendors that has already went through the price drops.
