Well next weekend I'm going to build my first home custom PC...I have no idea how to do this, and have no one to help me alongside, so I can only count on ya'lls help and my intuition I guess. Any sites or good reads would be helpful.

i need to know more things as well. In which order should I put it together? When is it safe to turn on the computer? And most definately the hardware installations, bios, and software installations...

find a guid online. google it. we shouldnt have to spend half an hour or whatever typing it up when theres hundreds of guides out there. if your motherboard doesnt come with instructions look on their website, if theres none there then find a generic guide online.

Ok.. just read manuals. you will go like this

Install CPU/thermal compound/heatsink onto motherboard, put RAM in.
put mobo in case
put PSU in case
put Cards in
Put drives in
Put fans/others in
Do the pwr button/led etc cables
do the IDE cables.. and fan cables
then all the power cables.
make sure everythings hooked up
and then turn it on

am i forgetting anything?
