Default New Hd

If i got a New HD, there is NOTHING ON IT OEM and i want to start up for the first time, do i need drivers or a Cd? Should i have got retail.?

If it is SATA, than you will need to get the drivers for it onto a disk. If it is IDE, there is some jumpers on the back of it, which you need to set to the appropiate one.

Other than that, it is plug it in, and format it.

Btw. I have never seen a retail HDD.
