I purchased a front panel unit (Silverstone FP32) from Newegg. It's a panel designed to fit in a 3.5" floppy drive bay and has 4XUSB2.0, FireWire (1394), and mic/headphone ports.

My case (from an old Compaq Presario) already has a hole with a flip-up door for a front panel. The old front panel had 2 USB ports, a game port, and a place where they could've put a 1394 port. It had a proprietary ribbon cable connection, so I removed the whole thing.

Right now, I stuck the new panel in an empty floppy bay, but I'd like to put it where the old front panel used to be...which, as of now, is just a rectangular hole in the metal case. What do you recommend? Would you custom-build something to hold the 3.5" panel in place? And if so, what would you build it out of (that is cheap, I don't want to spend much if any).
