Default New ForceWare 97.44 Drivers

New ForceWare 97.44 Drivers
There are brand new ForceWare 97.44 drivers out today. Anyone that owns a GeForce 8800 GTX or a 8800GTS should head on over and grab these drivers. The package weighs in at just under 40MB so grab them if you need them. Here is a quick list of highlights:

Supports GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GTS GPUs. Game and application compatibility fixes. New PureVideo technology features allows GeForce 8800 GTX/GTS to achieve a score of 128 in the HQV video quality benchmark: Improved inverse telecine algorithms (2:2 & 3:2 Pull-down Correction) for standard and high definition content. Improved spatial-temporal de-interlacing algorithm. Includes the new NVIDIA Control Panel.

I am still on 91.31... would I see much benefit in upgrading? Thing is, I can't stand the NV Control Panel at all... it has merely been ATIalised. Have the dropped the old system completely in this revision?

Thanks.

EDIT: not compatible drivers... i read the page more carefully. heh.

i highly doubt that, i won't bother checking though. i know that at least as far as FW 81.98 works on as far back as a GF2 so why would one version change eliminate the previous generation cards.

Yeah, im on 94.xx, and they are doing fine! Its confusing that the new G80 drivers are not backwards compatible!
