Default new cpu and mobo

I'm asking everyones opinion on a new mobo and cpu for a new build i would like to go with amd cpu 2ghz or more and not sure about mobo. My budget is about $200-250 please give me some opinions and sites to browse thanx.

which way do you wanna go AMD or Intel? And if you go Intel I think that you should get a northwood

Yea go for like.. a 2500+ (overclock it) or if you'd rather.. get a 3200 and the mobo get like a a7n8x-deluxe or e-deluxe, i like those boards =).. but if you're into overclocking, look at the abit boards.

I'd prefer amd, so abit are better for ocing im not sure i'd oc it but where should i be looking for good priced stuff thanx for the replies

I think slighty faster, but they run hot as hell from what I hear

yea well... this stock intel CPU fan better hold me off before i get my other CPU fan. I mean my friend has a intel 3.2 presscott and he has the stock intel fan and his works fine. So..
