on which cpu to use for gaming, P4 would perform faster in video editing because of its longer pipeline. but the athlon series runs almost all games better than an equal pentium 4. thats why i bought an athlon over a p4.

In addition, when you can pay the same amount of money and have a choice between two processors, it's obvious you should pick the faster one. 9 times out of 10 it's from AMD.
