Wht are the signs that the motherboard has carked it?

The motherboard won't give beep codes if the system speaker isn't plugged in... you sure that's plugged in correctly?

Yeah well the problem is there is no cord for the system speakers with this new case i got its an Antec LANBOY 350

Simple, it the last part that you have not replaced in the PC bare bone.

Simon,

Yea CPU never came off MOBO during transfer, i believe Jess to it into the Shop now,

use the old one from the old case. Simple enough. The system beeps tell you a whole lot sometimes.

:amazed: There was five unneseccary spacers between mobo and case. so the mobo was shorting. It also killed one IDE port
