NEON TUBES and O-ZONE SMELL

I just installed a Neon Tube into my download box. First thing that have notices was a O-Zone Smell coming from the PC.

This is the first time that I have installed a Neon.
Have they or their inverters have been known produce an O-Zone Smell when they are new.

I don't think I am over loading the PSU as it a 430Watt , and there is not much in this computer at it's my download box.

LOL, don't know or it's the same smell, but I've also had something like that.

Bought my first CCFL, installed it, and later I saw that the little box, from where the wires are coming, had burn..

So.. There was also a bad smell AND smoke coming out of my expensive computer..

Thought I was going nutz!

Though, just bought another box (cause I lost the guarantee =^))
And now everything is back to normal =)


Don't know or this had sense, at least, I tried.. (a)

Turned them on last night, and there was no smell this time.

Fry a PSU and youll find out quick.

lol... ozone is O3 guys... it doesn't smell like anything. Unless there's something I don't know. Is it just an expression?

I was kinda thinking the same thing, but then I did a bit of googling, and found this:

According to this site, Ozone can smell like...

• clothes after being outside on clothesline
• photocopy machines
• smell after lightning storms
