The 6600GT will perform better in games, not sure about rendering large images. I would assume that the difference is virtually unnoticeable.

Calzinger, the OEM Venice I listed costs 120 bucks. Def not jsut a few bucks more. Your retail you listed costs 146... Also the xp-90 costs 50 bucsk with heatsink/fan. Just to squeeze a few more megahertz in. IMO, that 20 bucks is spent better elsewhere esp ifyour on a budget.

Here is the Heatsink you posted.

Cheapest shipping is around 6 dollars for one of the two. For both, lets leave it at 10. Thats 50 dollars.

Here is the link to the heatsink/fan that I suggested, which costs 33 dollars shipped.

I don't remember posting a link to a processor here. But ok, you got me convinced. That 3000+ Venice is a damn good buy for $120.

Ya you might not have posted it heh. I just saw a bunch of 146 dollar retail venices and I got mad. :)

I can't blame you. Everyone (including myself) has this dig that newegg.com is the place to buy absolutely everything when in fact there are so many cheaper websites out there. I guess for the sake of service, reliability, and insanely wide selection of parts, people use newegg just to show the "what" and the "where".
