For ram, newegg has a 1gb pqi dual channel kit for 70 bucks. Pretty cheap and efficient.

Venice core is good, and the DFIi isn't bad even if you don't want to oc. Newegg of course has a combo that will save you 10 dollars off the cheapest dfi lan party. (which will still be 120 dollars)

Another mobo option if you want to save money is the Chaintech VNF4 Ultra.

As for video cards, the 6600GT is a good card.

Where at in MI are you from?

Newberry. About 60 miles west of Sault Ste. Marie. It is "snowmobile country" if you know what I mean.

I don't know where to check on the cards, but give me a bit to look, and I'll try to get a reply to you.

Looks like the 7800 GTX comes out on the 22nd of this month (or close to it).

The third site is in a different language, but you'll see near the bottom it says "22 juni." The fourth site says 8 days, but the article was written on the 12th, so that puts it around the 20th. No matter, it is very close.
