Need help with new computer

Update no more help were taking the stuff back to frys electronics. In this process we gained a free case and dvd burner without even trying. so were gonna buy parts from local computer shop even though they are more expsiive since they know how well of a job i do they are going to give me there take it back for service anytime free of charge and free install on upgrades. We are returning the 2.8ghz cpu, intel d865perl motherboard, kingston 512 pc2700, ati 9200, and wd 80gb. All that had cost about 560bucks.

I have this mobo and I had the same issue

I was trying to install windows on my 40 gb and it flat would not format the disk

I hooked up my 120 gb and it formatted right away

When the thing finally was ready the computer detected the 40gb just fine

try a bigger HD to format before you go to the trouble of taking it back
