Need Help For Deciding Processor!

Ok, I was sure I wanted AMD for my processor. But, I have been looking around, and I am seeing that Intel OC's awesome, not to say AMD doesn't. But I am deciding between the following:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ = $146

Intel P4 2.66Ghz, I plan to OC it to 3.0+ = $120

So, I mainly am gonna use the comp for gaming, HL2/BF2/etc...

What should I do?

Hmmm... buy one to overclock it to the level of the other, which isn't OC yet...

Intels can overclock farther and AMDs wont go as far, but the way i see it is a 400Mhz overclock on an intel equals a 150-200Mhz overclock on AMD....

3000+ hands down.

The 3000+ easily hands it do a 3.2intel.

And AMD64's performance after an overclock is greater, even though you get more clock speed from an intel (which I find hard to believe anyways).

But yeah, intels run WAY to hot for me, get a 90nm Venice or something.
