Default need help bad!

I just put together my new comp ASUS A7N8X-E with Athlon XP 3000+ and I cant get it to instal windows XP. It gives an error about disabling cache, and when i disable it, i cant hit f8 to continue in the setup. When i try and run xp from what was already installed it just loads forever, ASUS has no idea, and i have the latest bios. Im stuck!

Have you tried reformatting everything and start over again? Maybe it just had a bad install, a second time could solve the problem. If not, make sure your harddrive doesn't have any problems if you can (perhaps put it in a different computer if you have one). Good luck.
