Default Need help

Ok i went to the bios and i overclocked my cpu i follows these exact instructions P35-DS3P + e6750 overclock guide which were recommended to me now for some reason on cpuz and everest it is still showing that i am only running at 2.66 ghz

Maybe you still have the SpeedStep technology enabled. Go into the BIOS, then the advanced bios menu, and disable CIST. You should keep all your questions in one thread, instead of making a new one, for just one question.

Yeah, asking all of your questions in 1 thread would be much easier for us. Well, if you don't know what CIST is then you should look it in your Motherboard's manual. Sometimes it's some other word rather this CIST. b1gapl was it EIST or CIST? Or are they both the same?

lol...forgive me...It's EIST, not CIST. And it stands for Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology.

Lol, I had a feeling that it wasn't CIST. I was looking into my motherboard's manual and I was all like, wasn't it EIST...? :laughing:

sorry guys i was just in bios changing stuff already and i was paranoid like my computer was gunna blow up so i kept asking all these questions and rushing to get answers

seems like my computers running really slow all the sudden i just deleted that speed step thing so hope that helps
