Memtest86 (will give you detailed info about your memory and diagnostics)
or
CPU-Z (will give you detailed info about your computer)

Memtest is excellent for testing ram to verify it works properly,
you can get it at http://www.memtest86.com

Cpu-Z can show info about your motherboard, processor, and it pulls the SPD from your ram, telling you what it currently running at, and what it is made from the factory to be ran at, you can get it at http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php#download

Also forgot to mention Everest Home Edition, Freeware as all the others, which displays some good information about your system, more then the others do. You can get it here: http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en

Testing is different then something that display's your RAM specs. I suggest CPU-Z to monitor your system, along with your Bios. Also make sure you have some kind of temperature monitor.

Personally, i rather test the system myself. Just run low stressing applications and task first. Then get into some kind of video game.
