Lol no offense but the only problem with buying all your parts slowly over the next 8 months is that if you buy something now which you believe is to be the best in it's range, lets say the Nvidia Geforce 7800GTX, within 8 months when your ready to put it all together I think that you'll find that you have pretty average parts as the computer world evolves extremely quickly.
That is if that's what you intend to do, because I was thinking about doing that myself but then ran into that problem.
