what mobo and video card is better? the one in my list above or this?

The one in your list above.
The GIGABYTE NVIDIA nForce4 Mobo and MSI nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT Video Card are way better than what you chose now.
Stick to your original list everything there seems to be fine.

thanks, i really wanted the 6600 gt so i found the pci-e mobo. everything else look good, do i need to buy any other tools/little parts?

You could stand to buy some round IDE cables for a better look and better air flow.
