My day spent overclocking

Thanks for the tips Gaara, I will not be very comfortable with over 1.5volts tbh.

When I next go for a run of overclocking I will up the voltage on the LDT and chipset. I will stick it to 3x then.


The programs I was using were Prime95 (no screenshots, but no errors or warnings after an hour and half) for checking stability.

SuperPi to see the difference in overclocking.

Counterstrike stress test added for real world performance increase.

And CPU-Z to show what speed it is at.

why is 1.5v is ur max? under 1.6v should always be fine 24/7. as long as ur mobo can be able to take it fine.

I haven't really looked, but I think my motherboard will support 1.75volts IIRC. I just don't really want to go above 1.5 really.

Honestly, I think your fine all the way up tp 1.575V. I wouldn't go above 1.6V though.
