I just got a new motherboard and wanted to transfer all my parts from my old one onto it. But, there is something I don't understand, and that's jumpers.

The manual does not give very user friendly instructions, just something about short and open. I have absolutely no clue what so ever on how to set jumpers.

Any help is appreciated.

Just try to put everything back together first. And if it does not work right then come back and ask.

Also make sure that the HD's are in the same order on the IDE cable as they were in the old case.

Thanks.

I'm going to leave all my hard-drives/cd drives etc plugged in and work around it as to not leave any problems.

I won't be able to come back if my comp doesn't boot up :p

yep, motherboards usually come with the jumpers set so that you can plug everything in and it will work, new ones that is. The only jumper moving you may possibly have to do, is to turn some integrated stuff off, but pretty much all motherboards have a jumper free mode for that
