I am sure this has been asked before or has been slightly touched on but I wanted to ask this simple (albeit n00b-like question)
What would be the best position for a fan on the side?
I am modding my case (for the first time) in the next day or so and I wanted to know if it is best to have the fan be inside the case, outside the case, or is it more of a personal preference.
I was thinking inside only to keep the look of the case neat and smooth. Only problem I found with that is the blades may hit the case, and I do NOT want that. I could always find a way to space the fan and case out.
Also, would it be best to cut the hole a bit smaller (I'm using 120mm fan) so I can line it up to have JUST the fan blades showing so the screws can go right into the side? I'm just trying to think of any possibilities before I start to cut (or even measure for that matter). As it said in another post: plan well ahead.
